Empty Windows Become Canvas For Public Art

Street-artist, spray paint can maestro Banksy once said, "A wall is a very big weapon. It's one of the nastiest things you can hit someone with.”

With that sentiment in mind the folks at Southfield-based Farbman Group, 323East Gallery in Royal Oak, and Street Culture Mash(SCM) Studios of Detroit have teamed up to create "Woodward Windows," a curated public art gallery that transforms the windows of vacant buildings and turns them into something worth looking at.

Participating artists in the recently unveiled exhibition include:

Ron English, Tristan Eaton, TrustoCorp, Gregory Holm, Tom Thewes, Chris Turner, Dave Krieger, Beau Stanton, Matt Eaton, MECA, AVONE, Sean Desmond, The Tenderloin Project, Jason Vaughn, Eno Laget and more.
