Hamtramck Blow Out

Do the math: 250 performances in 20 venues over 4 nights = BLOWOUT.

Held March 7-10th and sponsored by Metro Times, Detroit's free newsweekly, this rock and roll smorgasbord is America’s largest local music fest, drawing 8000 rabid fans to Hamtramck. 2007 marked BLOWOUT's tenth year.

This year's event included performances by: ADULT., The Hard Lessons, The Muggs, Great Lakes Myth Society, The Silent Years and The Satin Peaches, Slumber Party, Thunderbirds are Now, Dorkwave DJs, hundreds of others and one jug band.

Past performers have included: The White Stripes, Eminem, The Von Bondies, The Sights, Blanche, Saturday Looks Good To Me, Obie Trice, Ghostly International DJs, The Henchmen and bevy of big name local bands.
