Beauty Blossoms In Metro Detroit

They've been saluted as "Best Florist in Metro Detroit" for 25 years and walking into their Birmingham shop, it's immediately clear that Norm Silk and Dale Morgan love to surround themselves with beauty. They are a mainstay in the Birmingham community and with a quick click to their site you get a feel for how seriously they take the business of flowers.

But Silk and Morgan also embody the very notion of their namesake, Blossoms --which is another word for rebirth. Case in point: the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Dorothy Turkel house in Detroit's Palmer Woods.

Neglected for years, the partners decided to purchase and restore this unique Usonian marvel to its former glory. No easy task, given the exacting demands and style Wright invested in his architectural creations.

Metromode produced a video about the house's restoration a little more than a year ago and we decided this time it might be nice to introduce you to the men behind that restoration. Hopefully, when the house is complete, Norm and Dale will invite us back again to see the final results.

In the meantime, click on the YouTube video below to meet these Metro Detroiters
who've dedicated their lives to elegance and grace.
