West of Rosa Parks
Detroit
Across from Detroit bright spot Slows Bar B Q and Detroit blemish the old Central Station in Corktown is the Mercury Coffee Bar. It's just as much of a corner coffee shop for the neighborhood of Corktown just as much as it is for the whole of Detroit. The Wi-Fi works efficiently for the telecommuters in the area and the sandwiches allow you to work through lunch. The olive panini is taste with a cup of the slow Kenyan brew. There are counters and seats along the window for a nice veiw of Michigan Avenue and, in fact, from those seats the vacant Central Station casts a particularly interesting and beautiful image over the MCB.
