As a platform engineer for an EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) vehicle, I am responsible for providing sound technical advice on vehicle systems, subsystems, and components. Another facet of the job involves working with different groups to facilitate integration efforts of new systems and vehicle upgrades to maintain a common configuration. Because of our involvement overseas, the job has some high demands for meeting short deadlines and also requires me to travel domestically and globally to support the vehicle program. Giving our soldiers the best equipment possible so they can perform their mission is our main focus and certainly a source of job satisfaction.
