I am responsible for sourcing and delivering ready candidates to Account Managers throughout the central region for contract and direct placements. I source candidates via CDI's recruiting database, referrals, job postings, and migrations. I interact with candidates on all issues including benefits, salary, availability, relocation and offer of employment. Once hired perform new hire sign up orientation with employee. I mentor and develop junior recruiters to assist them in achieving their objectives. Assist recruiters in the recruiting processes including resume formatting, reference checks, interviewing and employee maintenance. Lastly, I align with Sales team and act as “go to person” for various clients in the absence of Account Managers and interact with clients/hiring managers for submittal feedback, interview scheduling and follow-up.

My main job is educating people on improv. Sometimes it's simply explaining the difference between improv comedy and stand-up; Sometimes it's the intricacies of performing an entertaining scene; And sometimes it's how improv can help improve his/her company, confidence, or even quality of life.  

It's also my job is to maintain the integrity of the shows we put up and to make sure that our audiences and clients get the best experience possible. As director of GoU, my job is to provide students with a safe and fun experience as they learn how to improvise.

I enjoy working in metro Detroit because it has a small town feel with big city qualities. I love Detroit architecture and technological history. I live in downtown Detroit and have the privilege of witnessing the evolution of the Riverwalk, TechTown, Dequindre Cut and creative arts district.
 
I found my job via Monster.com. I have been practicing design for 6 years. Working for Gorman's came natural because the company has a 70 year reputation of offering quality and style.

My role as a Digital Production Manager is exactly what it sounds like. I manage the production of various digital projects including websites, on-line advertising, e-mail, and in-market display advertisements for a major automotive client.  MRM has given me opportunities to gain experience in content management, interfacing with international counterparts, project management, web maintenance, collaboration on special projects, and placing me on the cusp of innovative technology. All of which makes me a “hybrid” asset to the company.  

Before starting with MRM, I worked in Florida at Walt Disney World® Resort in Sales and Marketing. When the economy declined, so did my position.  So I moved back to Michigan and into my parents’ house – like many post-grads.  After months of job searching and hundreds of applications, I got a phone call from a recruiter at a new agency in town.  MRM Worldwide pulled my resume from CareerBuilder and were interested in interviewing me!

What I love about MRM (and what I specifically look for in a company) is that they provide an amazing support system to their employees from not only a teamwork perspective, but also from a personal and professional development standpoint.  The management team is dedicated to helping us reach our goals and recognizing those who stand out and perform exceptionally. Essentially, my job is to oversee all day-to-day operations while developing a large-scale strategic plan to advance the mission of our organization.  I'll represent the organization at all events, sessions, and committee meetings as well as approve all operational procedures, policies and standards.

BCG is a global strategy consulting firm that serves clients in a variety of industries.  The firm focuses on developing forward-thinking strategies for our clients in a way that will help them navigate a competitive business environment, and my assignments vary in scope and clientele.  I'm based here in BCG's Detroit office, which was opened in 2005 and now has approximately 25 consultants on staff.  I truly love the opportunity to work alongside colleagues from a wealth of backgrounds and experiences on some of the most challenging issues facing the business world today!

I work within the staffing industry.  My main responsibility is to recruit top talent to fill open positions within the engineering sector.  A lot of my clients are within the Automotive industry which has always been a big and integral part of Michigan's economy.  I choose to work in Michigan because this is where my family is and where I grew up.  Michigan will always be home to me and I hope that its economy can rebound.  With the unemployment rate ad high as it is, it is nice to be able to provide individuals with employment opportunities as part of my main occupational responsibility.

As an graduate of engineering, I knew that there was a good probability that I would not practice what I studied.  I truly enjoy the problem solving skills I obtained, and wanted to put that into use through business or consulting.  My job originally took me to Boston, where our North American HQ are.  I started in inside sales, learning sales techniques, and our software.  Once I proved myself in this area, I was given the opportunity to become the area manager for the Midwest.  ORSYP Software provides solutions to challenges in large Datacenters.  I control the technical resources for ORSYP, while presenting the company to the potential customer.  The reason why I enjoy my job is that each day is completely different.  The challenge to improve my knowlege of sales and the software industry keep me excited.  I enjoy the traveling, meeting new people, and the stress that comes with the job. 

I develop, cultivate and maintain relationships with businesses and employers in Southeastern Michigan and out of state employers to provide career opportunities for Specs Howard students and alumni. I support, offer guidance and advise students in making career choices which include education, training and work-related plans within the corporate, non-profit and new business initiatives. I meet, and develop relationships with employers and businesses about workplace and employment opportunities and internships. I assist students to develop their goals and action plans to progress their career decisions which includes locating information for internships,, summer, and part-time and full-time job searches. I plan, develop, coordinate facilitate and job workshops, job fairs, coordinate alumni/advisory career board panels and organize special events and initiatives to advance media related career opportunities for students and graduates.  I coordinate and implement advertising and marketing strategies of services and programs of the Career Services department through various mediums. Finally, I instruct, coach and teach students how to develop effective cover letters, letters of intent, resumes, letters of recommendations, career portfolio profiles, interviewing skills and effective job search strategies for employment opportunities.

As the Graphic Designer and Partner at FWD, I am responsible for research, design and production of projects as well as managing client accounts.

I am proud to be part of such an amazing team here at GreenPath. GreenPath is a non- profit consumer credit counseling organization. We provide free counseling services for consumers with a variety of financial concerns. We help our clients with overwhelming credit card bills, homes in foreclosure, filing for bankruptcy, and clients just seeking help with refining their budgeting skills.

It is great working in such a positive environment with such a diverse group of people. Everyday presents new learning and growing opportunities. I feel so lucky to have  a job that I wake up looking forward to go to. I love that I am part of something that is an  asset to today’s economy.

I gather and track data for roughly 20,000 unique items, explore new opportunities and trends in online marketing, such video content, for product descriptions.  Never in a million year would I have placed myself here.  But now that I am here, it's very interesting to be in such a fast changing industry that really is just scratching the surface.  And any place that has daily stretches, Yoga twice monthly, and music playing all the time, you can't have a bad day!

As a critical care nurse at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, I not only receive fulfillment by caring for the ill, but also gain a sense of connection with my community members.  The majority of the patients I care for suffer from advanced heart, lung, and kidney diseases. Understanding that the origins for these diseases are largely treatable, I aim to become a nurse practitioner with the intention to join the effort to educate and treat patients in order to reduce the risk of chronic illness.

I am in charge of all marketing activities with lightingsupply.com.  I manage our Search Engine Optimization, Google Pay Per Click, email marketing, banner advertising and anything involved with marketing an e-commerce website.
