Description:This paid position will provide support for the investor relations and public relations department while the incumbent IR/PR coordinator is on maternity leave. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to do real work in a face-paced IR/PR office and gain exposure to the IR/PR world. During the 3 month period (late January to Mid May), there will be the opportunity to gain exposure to the annual report process, crisis communications, and preparation for the yearend earnings announcement. The intern will have the opportunity to be an important member of the Taubman Corporate Affairs team. Full-time position approx. 40 hours per week.
Provides administrative Support for VP Investor Relations and Director, Communications. Works closely with and performs projects for two PR Specialists. Includes phones, scheduling, meetings, file organization, conference arrangements, department lunches, invoices, travel arrangements and expense reports. Assists with issuance of Press Releases. Fulfills investor and media requests. Maintains appropriate lists and handles distribution of annual reports and investor materials, including Board Clips. Performs daily article and investor research report, internet searches and distributes articles to appropriate executives. Maintains electronic article archive. Creates stock report for daily distribution. Coordinates yearend IR conference call conference call logistics, annual meeting (if needed) and investor property tours. Assists as needed for departmental projects. Assists with corporate image system and company photo archives.
Requirements:Must be at least Sophomore year with excellent communication skills, proficiency with Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Internet research. Ability to work with photos; strong visual and design skills. Office experience is a plus.
