Description: Rieter Automotive North America, one of the world's leading Tier I suppliers of carpet systems, noise control and thermal insulation systems is seeking an energetic, detail oriented Accounting Intern for our corporate headquarters in Farmington Hills, MI. This position is full time in the summer; part time in fall & winter.
Our company operates seven wholly managed plants located in Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Louisiana and Ontario (Canada). In close cooperation with automotive manufacturers, Rieter Automotive Systems develops and produces components, modules and integrated systems on the basis of fibers, plastics and metals in order to provide acoustic comfort and thermal insulation in motor vehicles.
Essential duties include:
· Accounts Receivable invoicing and cash application
· May assist with preparing reports on credit/collections status
· Accounts Payable support
· Collecting all Accounting Policies and putting in web based environment
· Other projects as they develop
Requirements: Qualified candidates will have:
· Junior status (in Fall 2010) towards a Bachelors degree in Accounting
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
· Must have some experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
· Must be aggressive, have extreme sense of urgency
· Willing to work in fast paced environment with extremely talented
individuals
