The
Construction Association of Michigan magazine
is holding a green contest at this year's CAM expo. The contest will award
the greenest of the green building projects with the first ever Green
Project of the Year Award.
The expo will be held Feb. 4-5 at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi. The deadline for submissions is Sept. 15.

"The focus of this year's show is very much on green building, we're
going to have a green building section," Amanda Tackett, CAM director
of publishing, said. "So we thought to incorporate a Green Project of
the Year Award made sense."
To submit a project for this award, applicants must submit a short
description of what makes their project Earth-friendly. CAM will
evaluate the projects based on environmental sustainability of design
and construction. Projects using eco-friendly innovative techniques or
strategies will be heavily favored.
