MRI plans to initially staff the Farmington Hills location with existing personnel and add employees as the number of projects in Oakland County grows, [president Jim] Richter said. The new facility could also house startup businesses, he said.

The volume of existing automotive and other businesses that house technology that could migrate to medicine and other sectors make Oakland County ripe for investment, Richter said.
