Cincinnati Time Systems has been around in one form or another for a while. The Farmington Hills-based business can trace its roots all the way to 1896, but 1993 is the year it really started to grow.
Since then it has gone from five employees to 20, including one new hire in internal marketing. It hopes to hire again as it continues to put together revenue jumps of between 5-10 percent. This year, revenue is set to be up 6.5 percent. Last year it increased by nine percent.
"With the economic downturn, our hosting model has really surged," says Mark Dykstra, president of
Cincinnati Time Systems
.
The company has four primary product lines, including time attendance, video surveillance, parking control, and access control systems. The systems that can be remotely controlled have become quite popular in recent years as businesses look to minimize costs with fewer people keeping an eye on more things. All four of those sectors are set to grow again in sales this year.
