Auburn Hills Plexus on a roll, growth and jobs expected

Plexus Systems Inc. announced that their Plexus Online has been honored as the "Best Business Process Automation Solution" at the Software & Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) 22nd Annual CODiE Awards.

The awards gala was held last week in San Francisco and included more than 1,200 nominations submitted by more than 600 companies. The Codie Awards recognize outstanding achievement and vision in the software and technology industries.

Plexus Online is an on demand manufacturing performance system thatcombines resource planning, manufacturing execution, quality management, customer relationship management, shop floor integration, along with other operations. 

Over all, 2006 has been a terrific year for the Auburn Hills-based company. Revenues for the year approached $22 million, representing a 53% increase from 2005. Growth this year is expected to hit 40%.

During the year, Plexus was also recognized by numerous orgainzations. Awards included:Automotive News Pace Award Finalist; Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist; a top 10 Company to Watch by Managing Automation Magazine; Emerging Technology Company of the Year by Automation Alley; Future 50 winner of Greater Detroit; Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 winner; and a top 50 Company to Watch in Michigan by the Edward Lowe Foundation.

Boasting a 100% retention rate among its existing customers, the company also added client companies in North America, Asia, and Europe.

Locally Plexus employs approximately 120 people and is aggressively recruiting both in-state and out-of-state talent. They are expecting to add 30 positions in the coming year. Most will be here in Michigan.
