Independent's day: Detroit and Brooklyn DJs party July 4th upstairs at Eph McNally's

Eph McNally's (upstairs)
July 4 11:59 p.m. - 6 a.m.

There is plenty to do from New Center to the riverfront, up and down the Woodward corridor during the long July 4th holiday weekend. No doubt, many readers will be dancing on the streets at the Cityfest, with the heartiest of all sliding out for more high-volume fun at a usually robust after-party scene.

Here's one down the road apiece in a space above Eph McNally's (608 Woodward, downtown Detroit). Called Tour Detroit '09 Vol. 4, the party starts charging toward the dawn on Saturday night, July 4, at 11:59 p.m.

For this special occasion, the promoters welcome back to town Mike Servito (Ghostly International/Untitled/Dorkwave/Sass), a Detroit ex-pat now based in Brooklyn (but with a standing invite to come back to the D anytime he likes).

Also on the decks: Joe Vargas, Steven Robert and Erno the Inferno. Party on until 6 a.m., in case sleep is not in your night planner.
