Arty party people: Detroit promoters celebrate four years of fashionable fun in Midtown

Bankle Building
Dec. 6 9 p.m. - 3 a.m.

Having so much fun at Noel Night that you want the night to never end (or at least have it stretch out to 3 a.m.)? Well, well, we have the perfect spot for you to go.

The Midtown promotions group with the wonderful name Detroit by Design is commemorating four years of creative and cultural programs starring, you guessed it, Detroit's community of artists and designers. Some members of that extended family -- including Femilia Street Couture, Camilo Pardo, Cyberoptix Tie Lab, PeaceLoveSpandex and Wound -- are participating in this special occasion this Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Bankle Building, 2944 Woodward Avenue, Detroit.

There is a VIP reception, 9-11 p.m, with a party to follow, 11 p.m.-3 a.m.

It is shaping up as a cool night from start to finish, with butler-style cocktails and canapes provided by Four Star Culinaire catering; reception environment designed by Melinda Anderson and Colonial Event Services; an art installation curated by 323 East; and a Detroit Fashion Photography exhibition.

A dozen DJs will perform, including Frankie Banks, Gabe Real, Jeff Owens of Ghostly International, Paxahau's Chuck Flask and John Johr, Espleece, Erno the Inferno, Joe Vargas, Dethlab and more.
