Conn artist: Chicago-based anarcho-glam rocker has been releasing looney tunes since the 1990s

Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit
Bobby Conn / Zoos of Berlin
Dec. 5 8 p.m.

Bobby Conn is a liar. He has, since the later 1990s, claimed to be the Antichrist, to have cut off his ring finger, to have served time in a federal facility in Maryland, and to have invented a way to bring down the government by creating a huge national debt. That last one is especially good, considering the state of the global economy. You sure it wasn't you, Bobby?

What is true about Conn is that he is an idiosyncratic, provocative and prolific artist-musician from Chicago who has released five studio albums to date: Bobby Conn (1997), Rise Up! (1998), The Golden Age (2001), The Homeland (2004) and King For A Day (2007), along with a live album Live Classics (2005).

Detroit's eccentric Zoos of Berlin open, a perfect match. 8 p.m. Admission is $8, all ages welcome. At Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD), 4454 Woodward Avenue, Detroit.
