There is no shortage of holiday cheer at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. These events for the entire family include a Christmas tree decked with American-made ornaments, vintage model train displays, make-and-take holiday keepsakes, daily readings, visits with Santa, free giveaways and more.
Holidays in Henry Ford Museum is free to members and free with Henry Ford Museum admission. The program is up now through Jan. 4.
Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village are set for every weekend of the month, with each night's activities beginning at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m. This special event ends Dec. 28.
Touted as America's premier holiday celebration, the family program has a bit of something for all ages, including candle-lit paths, live entertainment, costumed presenters, carriage and Model T rides, holiday shops, Santa (everyday through Dec. 23) and live reindeer, ice skating, a fireworks display and more. Live musical performances including: the Christie Street Carolers, the
Main Street Carolers, the Dodworth Saxhorn Band, the Festival Singers,
Neil Woodward, Picks & Sticks Stringband, Ranka Mulkern, the
Livonia Civic Chorus, the Greenfield Carolers and the 1st Michigan
Colonial Fife & Drum Corps. Members of The Henry Ford receive discount admission and an opportunity to purchase tickets in advance.
