Michigan led the world in so many areas for much of the 20th century. Lately it’s been leading the country in unemployment and home foreclosures.
But Michigan can lead again.
A bundle of people gathered recently in Detroit for the Creative Cities Summit. Lead by Richard Florida, the Creative “Big 3” spoke for hours, and it was tough to find anyone bored in the audience.
The big three said let the people lead. Let them do the projects they want. Then cities will improve. Michigan Now’s Chris McCarus was there.
