A mixed-use senior housing complex is being proposed for a 15-acre parcel at the southeast corner of John R and Big Beaver.

The plans, which still need approval from the Planning Commission and
City Council, call for a six-story, 152-unit Sunrise Independent Living
Community; a three-story, 78-unit Sunrise Assisted Living Community; a
drug store with drive-through pharmacy; a restaurant, and a bank with
drive-through service.
