Growth Companies

Karl Ma, Evigia Systems' vice president of marketing says, "What we want to do to radio frequency ID tags is what has been done to cell phones."

In otherwords, make them small, light, versatile and cheap.

It's a stratey that has attracted the interest of a very major partner (unnamed at this time), which could mean $430-$480 million in business with the U.S. Department of Defense.

That's nothing to sneeze at. The company, which started with one person in 2004, has grown to 14 people today, adding eight staffers in the last year alone. Ma sees the numbers tripling easily and if all goes well, Evigia will have $100 million more in revenue to play with,  adding 70-100 people to this small start-up with big dreams.
