Critical Moves is a production and development facility featuring a high end VICON motion capture system for use in the film, video and game production industries. They have taken up residence in the beautiful and storied Cadieux Stage at 4925 Cadieux Rd. on Detroit's East Side. Along with their mocap capabilities, Critical Moves offers game development outsourcing and plans to expand their video post production capabilities in 2007.
The VICON System's 46 cameras are extremely powerful, offering advanced capabilities including the ability to capture detailed facial motion and multiple actors. Critical Moves' talented 3D animators operate the mocap system, resulting in superior motion data. Many of these artists are College for Creative Studies graduates.
Critical Moves currently has a total of 7 full-time and 3 part-time staff members. Critical Moves is actively seeking talented animators and postproduction artists to join the team.
